About the Author: Lori Otto Samocha

Lori is a fifth-generation Texan, a proud Longhorn and a native Austinite. She got her start writing for advertising agencies across town. When she’s not crafting rhymes about hipsters and queso, she loves exploring the ever-changing but always charming capital city with her husband, baby girl, and their pup.

About the Illustrator: Lauri Johnston

Born and raised in West Texas, Lauri moved to Austin as fast as she could. She enjoys hiking around the city, catching live shows with her husband and, most of all, passing down her love of illustration to her two boys, Ryan and Jack.
